The review is for the hamra newly opened branch.
Warm welcome by a knowledgeable waiter. The ambiance guarantees extended enjoyable rooftop experience even when most rooftops are closed.
We had: garden salad with feta cheese: huge portion for such a minimal price and it's made with fresh ingredients.
- grilled cheese toasts equally big portions and a side of veggies.
- nachos and dips, worth the guilt!

Since my friend has a sweet tooth, and though they have no dessert on the menu, our lovely waiter made sure to satisfy her request: simply roasting toasts with nutella, banana and nuts!
Chapeau!

Hope they will offer similar menu as gemmayze branch!

Coop d'Etat is an excellent bar that I keep going back to !
Located on a rooftop, the music is very chill, the staff is so friendly we're practically friends now. Most of all the people there are completely laid-back, no fancy clothes, no high heels, just folks looking to have a good time.
And of course drinks are great and their sandwiches are incredibly tasty.
Love that place !

Went with friends for a drink.
Nice rooftop with nice view.
Drinks are tasty, nachos a must try.
Service is good, good choices of music and not loud so you can talk with your friends and enjoy.
Good option for a chill out evening.
Prices are very fair.
2 drawbacks:
Stairs, you should be prepared to climb 3 floors(not easy for girls),
the chairs are a bit uncomfortable

If you don't mind both things your evening will be fun and enjoyable.

Nice place with lots of drinks and music in the Gemayzeh area of Beirut. None of those fancy, crowded and overrated bars.

Really liked this place-- service was efficient and friendly, and they seem to "get it." Terrific music accompanied our afternoon spent guzzling prosecco on the rooftop. The view is interesting if not beautiful-- a freeway in front of the old port. But you can see the hills, and it's all nicely bohemian. Prices were a tad high for a bar atop a hostel, but didn't seem wildly inconsistent with other bars in Beirut.
