I ate out every night for two weeks in Beirut and this place was my favorite restaurant. We sat on the rooftop terrace, which is so charming and perfect for a summer evening. Everything we ordered was delicious - local rose wine, burrata, bruschetta, salad, seafood linguine, risotto....they also offer an amazing balsamic vinegar from Modena. This place is not cheap, but food, service, and atmosphere were all worth it.

Thank you so so much for the lovely feedback Geneva!!

We're absolutely so glad you enjoyed a memorable visit to Mario e Mario.

Great menu choices by the way! And yes, our balsamic vinegar is surely a winner, all the way from Modena!

Hope to see you here again some day :)

The place is cosy relaxing and confy, an old beirut house transformed into a live kitchen with a spacious well lite dining space. Mario e Mario very talented, excellent italian chefs with a wide experience in italian food, enjoy cooking in front of you, chat with client and are very friendly. Menu is diversified with a suggested specialty of the day!! Kids enjoyed a pasta pomodoro, I had the best black ink linguini ever.... every item ordered was yummy ... quality of food versus price is very good. I highly recommend for italian cuisine lovers.

We lately celebrated my wife's birthday at this restaurant. An old house transformed into a small Italian restaurant. The decoration is nice and simple with an open kitchen where you can watch your food being prepared. The waiter who served us was friendly and polite but unfortunately I had to remind her several times to get us few things we asked for (Parmesan cheese for example). I can't totally blame her as I noticed she was serving other tables only by herself. As for the food we had the Burrata and the Melanzane for starters. Then for mains we had the Risotto Porcini, the Spaghetti Mario and the Tagliatelle Bolognese. For dessert we had the Pannacota and the Tiramissu next to a cup of Cappuccino. All platters we ordered were really tasty and fresh. Clearly this place uses premium quality ingredients. Although the portions were satisfying but I have to say that the downside was the pricing issue. I strongly believe that the prices should be reduced knowing that several competitors specialized in Italian cuisine offering same quality of food are relatively cheaper.
