Nice and quit place with a beautiful park, cafe and restaurant. Realy relaxing if you want to eecape the noisy and busy city. There are a few small galeries with modern art and sometimes there is live music

The map reference for this place is not correct. The entrance to the Artist's Forum is at the south side of Tehran or (Honarmandan) Garden, off Arak St. We visited in between exhibitions so there was not a lot on display but it is worth a walk inside the building to see what is there. The art is very contemporary and challenging and gives an insight into the modern aspects of Iranian culture. On one of our visits we were treated to a musical performance using 3 m high puppets.

There is a great bookshop on the ground floor with helpful staff who speak English. I bought a CD of modern Iranian music and a number of books, including a locally produced Iranian travel guide. There are two coffee shops nearby and I would recommend the Cafe Gallery on the first floor of the adjacent theatre. It is open even when the theatres are closed so push through the front door and climb the stairs.

The forum is also a great location for people watching to see what the young and hip in Tehran are wearing. Lots of modern design. Also, on a clear day you get a stunning view of the nearby mountains.

In the center of Tehran, where the various pollutions (like smoke & noise) are so powerful, this Park & its buildings is a real shelter! Iranian Artists forum is a renewed nice building with some cafes & galleries; There is a new Theater Salon (Iranshahr) in this park, too.

We really enjoyed this modern arts gallery, cafe, and arts shop. Especially, this is truly a place for cat lovers!!! Spending our last afternoon in Tehran there is our best decision.

Free and uninhabited atmosphere around young and talented young artists.
A great variety of work, lots of serious visitors, an inspiring place to visit and meet the future.
Note also the gift - bookshop on the ground level....
