This church was in the middle of nowhere but so beautiful inside, and right next to the Jordan River. You can buy a white robe for the baptism, if you like.

Charming church with a friendly volunteer who tells you every story you wanna hear. Nice bell tower with view on town and cellar in the church that needs a visit.

The cathedral isn't very impressive, but has been built over ancient ruines of Mohabic, Roman and Byzantine ages, and you can have a very cheap trip under its basement to see them. Don't forget to go up the bell tower and see the best panorama of the city

This is a nice church to visit when in Madaba. There's a small exhibit on the re-population of the city at the end of the 19th century, a church with a cool underground part and a view of the city from the bell tower. The groundskeeper is a nice guy who further explained some of the history of the city, so it's worth spending some time here.

Modern Madaba is a young city, approx 100 years old. So this churchsite is one of the oldest parts of town, dating back to Antiquity. The church itself is young, Roman Catholic, and less interesting. The reason for coming here are the millenia old catacomps (watch your head) and the view from the church tower. Important: Do NOT climb the tower, if you have issues with hights. There stair do NOT offer Western European safety standards - and it gets dangerous if you get afraid, panik and clog the stairs ;-) No elevator.
