We have always enjoyed this restaurant for breakfast/brunch when in Amman. This trip we went twice since we all wanted typical Arabic breakfast foods - simple and delicious. There is a sit-down restaurant as well as carry out options. It is clean and the food is excellent.

Although limited in menu options, this falafel hot spot is ideal for vegetarians looking to have great simple foods like falafel, hummus and fool. Gets busy during eating hours, but lots of seats to accommodate the huge population that flock to it on a regular basis.

A very small place but excellent vegetarian food. The falafel were too good. Do not go with restaurant expectations...its a road side eatery. But worth the visit.

Very traditional, huge restaurant. It stands way out on the border of town, en toute to the Jordan university and yet it is worth the ride.
It is a vast place, almost always ful.
On entering, you find yourself in a vestibule where, behind the glass, young men are preparing great, very appetizing traditional dishes such as all forms of hummus, including fatter, brown beans (foul), falafel and the like. V
You are visually entertained as you watch them work.
Once seated, it seems only seconds after your order is taken that it comes.
Hot tea with Fresh mint is a good accompaniment to the meal as it helps the process of digestion.
Hot bread comes along with the meal and it sure appetizing! Just watch out for the hot vapour that emanates from it once you cut it.
This is a very informal venue, all kinds of people come here. Rather loud since the space is large and it is always full.
The food is filling and can make you feel full for hours!
And yet, next door to this restaurant is a sweets shop where one can buy Knafé.tge traditional cheese sweet of the region. Take it home with you as you will not be able to eat after the typical Arab breakfast

If you're an Ammani/Jordanian local, Abu Jbara is going to be a bit expensive for a typical Levant breakfast, which many people have every single morning or at least when they gather around the breakfast table on a Friday morning. However, it is just that little bit BETTER than other restaurants and well-worth a treat for the family every few months. The freshly baked bread and the Fetteh are especially amazing, but really you can't go wrong no matter what you order.
