We stayed here just one night at the tail end of a trip to Jordan. We were meant to stay at the W Amman, which didn't open in time and hence we were moved here.

The hotel is fine, with good service (although the receptionist kept trying to upsell us on breakfast, knowing full well that we were leaving at 5:30am, before breakfast was even being served!)

Beds and showers were comfortable.

Dear Anand C,
Thank you for writing about your short experience with us on TripAdvisor, hoping though that you enjoyed your trip to Jordan.
We do appreciate your kind feedback, however, concerning the breakfast part, we do arrange breakfast boxes for our guests who are leaving vey early before the opening of our main restaurant, as our guests do not only stay here, they belong!

We look forward to welcoming you again once your travel brings you back to Amman.
Best Regards,

Muna Samawi

My husband and two sons in their 20s had a very enjoyable stay at the hotel. It was everything you'd expect of a 5 star hotel. The rooms were very good, the breakfast spoilt you for choice and the service was excellent. My husband and I particularly enjoyed early morning swims in the pool and the boys found the gym even better than the one they use at home.

On top of that the concierge guys were superb. When we found we'd missed the city tour bus Khaled rang and persuaded the bus to make a detour to the main road near the hotel and escorted us to the stop so we could get on. We really appreciated that. Amazing the tour bus did this, but there was no one else on the bus and no one joined for the whole of the hour and a half left of the tour. Which - by the way - was very good but oddly only stopped twice: once at giant letters spelling LOVEJO and the other at the Citadel.

The only fault we found was with the Bell Captain. We asked him to call us a taxi one evening to go to Romero's (a well-known Italian restaurant). Ignoring a taxi that had just arrived at the hotel, he called another car over. The driver put the meter on but it must have been jammed in some way as it jumped in units of 5 instead of 1, so we were presented with a bill of just over 10 dinar when we arrived at the restaurant. He then said he'd wait for us and the round trip would cost 15 dinar. We paid the 10 dinar but refused to let him wait because we were used to taking taxis by then and knew the charge for the trip should have been about 2 dinar. My advice therefore is to get taxis from the street rather than a hotel, especially as they're plentiful and cheap. It's a shame that being ripped off that night soured the overall impression we had of the hotel. It's something the management needs to look into.

Dear BryonyMoira,.
Thank you very much for your time spent in writing about your experience with us on TripAdvisor.
We are very happy reading your positive feedback about our hotel especially our rooms, gym/pool, not to mention our best breakfast buffet in town. Moreover, your comment about Khaled/Concierge who went out of his to serve you to your satisfaction is highly appreciated by Khaled and us.
On another note, I have read your feedback about the taxi services, allow me please to inform you that we have a designated taxi cars who serve our guests as the first option, unless the guest opts for an outside taxi from the street where they doorman would act accordingly. Nevertheless, I do apologize for what this may have caused.
All of us are looking forward to welcoming you and your family again, hopefully soon.
Thanks again,

We had a wonderful stay at the Sheraton. Our room was very comfortable and the service/staff was very nice. I wanted to especially call out Khaled the front desk manager who was very helpful and made sure our stay was comfortable. The concierge was also extremely helpful in making dinner reservations and providing good recommendations.

We ordered room service the day we got in and the food was very good, we also used the club house, well stocked and good service again.

The reasons why I did not give this a 5 rating is because the rooms are dated and the breakfast buffet was not up to the standard I have come to expect from Starwood properties. The spread was very nice, however, they were always short on plates, cups, glasses and bowls.

I would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it!

Room Tip: Try to get a room on the 6 floor or above.

It is a place to stay at during your travel to Amman. Rooms are nice, bathrooms can be better, service is good, lobbies are welcoming, restaurants are very good although not a wide choice per night. The bar is good to visit for a drink and quick bite.
