After trying the incredible Shawarma and Falafel at Hakosem, we wanted to try to Sabich at Frishman Sabich. Wow- might be my favorite of them all. You might be familiar with falafels and Shawarma, but what's a sabich? It's a pita stuffed with fried eggplant, potatoes, eggs, hummus, various veggies, and sauces. I'm not sure what they do, but the combination is memorable. You can even add in cheese (worth adding)
The story goes that it was invented by Iraqi jews as something that could be eaten on the Sabbath when no cooking is allowed.
