Very good and modern property in Jerusalem. It’s more a business / corporate kind of hotel although it was full of families there. The amenities such as indoor pool and gym are great. Breakfast was also very completeZ .
If you’re looking for a good solid hotel this is a good option - it just lack charm.

We arrived I noticed and received a cold reception from Noam which was disappointing
She listed many negatives about what we may not do and how we get penalised including the parking downstairs which was shekels for every time you take the car out 60 shekels a day but extra 60 for each time you remove the car and return
It’s a beautiful hotel Spa is excellent. Location very pleasant with many adequate restaurants and buses available
The rooms were more than comfortable and well appointed bathrooms

I wouldn’t be in a hurry to return to this hotel because of the poor service

Room tip: Sort out your parking needs before you arrive as you may want to use your car going and coming in and out is a problem

The Orient is a perfectly fine five star hotel. The rooms are large and comfortable and the bathroom is spacious with a lovely walk in shower and a bath. The staff are helpful and charming and special shout out must go to Omri who was amazing.
We ate one day in the milk restaurant downstairs and had a delicious cheese board and salad washed down with a great bottle of wine BUT the hotel misses the opportunity to make a good stay into an outstanding one by the lack of attention to small details.
The bathroom had no face wash cloths or those little packages with Qtips and cotton wool pads inside. A dirty glass was left in our bedroom for two days , pyjama’s were left in a crumpled pile on the side table ,the waste bin wasn’t emptied and there was no bed turning down service
The breakfast was adequate but nothing special and the waiting staff were poorly trained. We sat with our dirty plates on the table and were asked if we’d like an omelette at the end of our meal !!
We ate another night in the restaurant upstairs with its fabulous view over the old city. We weren’t very hungry so we shared a couple of starters. My husband had crackers and dips. Beautiful and unusual crackers served with four different dips. All the dips were industrially produced and , other than the colour, it was impossible to know which was which. I had chicken wings which neither looked or tasted like any chicken that Ive ever had and all covered with an unappealing sauce.
As I said, the hotel has nothing that would have me complaining about but also nothing to make it outstanding or make me feel like I want to revisit

Room tip: There is a free parking lot two minutes walk from the hotel

Our room on the 9th floor was wonderful, just a bit too close to the elevator so we heard a lot of noise. Id request something farther next time, but the view was incredible.
Room was spotlessly clean, bed was very comfortable. The towels are very large which is a very nice touch! Staff was very helpful. Even during a busy time at breakfast there were plenty of waiters circulating and we received omelets and coffee very quickly.

Room tip: Ask for a room farther away from the elevator
