The calamari was good quality but nothing that other restaurants can't manage. But the SEA BASS. Dear God, that was incredible. Had to wait a while for it because of the saffron sauce, but it was absolutely worth. The sea bass was cooked to tender perfection. The sauce was creamy but not too thick with the anchovies perfectly seasoning the dish. Sea bass can be a bit bland but these guys swept that issue aside with ease. Very impressed.
Oh, and the service was to die for. Admittedly, there were few people around so the owner could tend to us with nothing more than a glance. It was to the degree that I got what I asked for, without having to raise a hand. Clinical.
