This mosque is FREE to enter when they are not praying. You need to remove your shoes and wear a head dress if you are female. The tile work is beautiful!! Definetly worth visiting. They do ask for donations upon exiting.

From it's exterior the Blue Mosque looks like any other you'll find in the city with it's 4 large steeples - one currently in scaffolding - it's numerous sized grey slate domes, it's arches and pillars, walkways and inner courtyard. It's a vast size as many of the mosques are, but what does set it aside from the others is it's majestic blue tiling half way up it's inner walls that are simply a work of art. These are truly complimented by the beautiful decor on it's ceilings along with it's wonderful stained glass windows. A must visit.
We visited the Blue Mosque in December, was busier than I thought but worth the wait. Attractions in Istanbul can be expensive so this mosque is definitely worth a visit as it is beautiful and free which is rare. Stunning exterior and interior.
One of the most amasing buildings you will ever see, better from outside i thought. Avoid the so called free guides outside who are just carpet or turkish delight salesmen.
Free to enter. Did not have to wait in line in December. However, it was fairly busy inside with tourists. They have head scarves to borrow if you don’t have one. Beautiful interior and exterior. Worth a visit!
As divine as it gets. While Blessed to be visiting this monumental structural and architectural has been absolute amazing and no less than Wonders to the age in which these structures are built. Carries a history and not to be missed while in Istanbul.
