Food and service were of a good standard but it was split by the constant loud beat of the unnecessary music. Best red wine I have had in Uzbekistan

We went here for lunch. The restaurant was busy, with a mixture of office worker lunch-time diners and a younger, more hip, crowd. The latter seemed to be the sort of clientele the management preferred - and this was reflected in the very young, but good-looking staff, whose cultivated air of indifference and disdain, would put even a Parisian waiter to shame! The menu is not translated into English, so it helps if a member of your party speaks Uzbek or Russian in order to translate and order. Otherwise its a case of pointing to the illustration and hoping that what you see is what you get! Service was interminably SLOW - eg. I ordered the Uzbek staple dish Plov - it took half an hour to arrive. Others in my party ordered just soup - a huge mistake - as this took literally one hour to arrive (we timed it!). Apparently, the explanation was that the chef had to cook it from scratch. Which is all very well and good - but leaves the customer wanting!... Any properly-run commercial enterprise would have basic staples like soup (or Plov for that matter) already prepared and warming on the stove. The only redeeming element was that it had very nice toilets, with a witty selection of softness of toilet paper.... go here if you have several hours to kill (if you don't starve to death before being served), otherwise avoid!....
