The staff at Maniumpathy took such good care of me from the moment of booking to the time of my departure. They organised airport transfer and an awesome culture tour for the one full day that I had in Colombo.
The accommodation is a beautifully restored building with such attention to detail. Immaculate and superb,y comfortable. Dinner and breakfast were both superb. I was travelling alone and found myself to be so well looked after, a fantastic beginning to my Sri Lanka trip, thankyou to everybody at Maniumpathy.

A gorgeous colonial family home, converted into an 8-room hotel. Tucked away from the madness of eclectic Colombo, this is a great space to chill-out. Even though it’s located in a quiet part of the city, the main sights, galleries and cafes are easily accessible by car or rickshaw.

The service staff are fantastic - friendly, attentive and always ready with a smile. They can be chatty and offer great insights and advice about the city, the country, the people and their food. On this note, always arrange for a traditional Sri Lankan breakfast the evening before. It’s well worth the (overnight) wait.

I had a great time over the 3 nights in Colombo. Perfect for a weekend retreat or longer stay.

I stayed recently in this quaint former house turned boutique hotel recently. Amazing place and an even amazing staff. Loved it. Perfect place if you looking to enjoy a quiet holiday in the heart of the city and yet spend time with your loved ones in the lap of greenery and understated luxury.

Nestled at the core of Colombo this beautiful gem of colonial architecture blends a true XIX (19) century experience.

The architecture is beautiful and amenities make us feel we went back on time.

The building grows around a center square wherein you have a small pool and the arcades were we sit for dinner and breakfast. It is a quiet place to stay far from the city hassle.

Staff is extremely professional and you get a (super)personalized service.

If you are looking for quietness book this place at less crowded times (low season and shoulder periods).

We were on our honeymoon so we were given a beautiful room arrangement and a special room for honeymooners.

The bathroom is large with old style big bathtub, shower and lots of room.

The food is a creative combination of Asian + Western and artistically arranged. International breakfast is awesome probably the best we had in Sri Lanka (a la Carte).

The manager came to greet us and we were given a late check out that allowed us to pack and shower after a busy day shopping.

It was an amazing start to our holiday. Maniumpathy is a real gem, conveniently located within the Colombo city. The building is colonial, well maintained and has the right touch of luxury. The rooms are elegant and well furnished, staff absolutely amazing and the Manager will ensure to take best care.

Room Tip: Rooms on the upper floor are very peaceful
