This is not your traditional wat with yellow roof bordered in green. Intricate details cover everything in what appears at first glance to be "plain brown buildings." The main temple is huge! Exquisite. At least two more buildings are under construction. Little known, rarely visited, but absolutely worth an hour to see a very different architectural monument. Combine this with nearby South Phnom Prasit Pagoda, the best Chinese temple in the area, and some of the other wats & rustic village markets along Route 130, off Hwy 5 NW of Phnom Penh for a day-trip. Road is very rough in places, but beautiful views of Phnom Penh in the distance across Tonle Sap River.
