Tried to eat here last night at the recommendation of our travel agent. We had a reservation for a lakeview seat on the upstairs balcony. When we arrived it was as if we were bothering the hostess. Once they found our reservation we were given a seat with an obscured view of the lake when all but two of ten tables with clear lake views were occupied. The restaurant staff then proceeded to ignore our presence for over 25 minutes. We ended up leaving and going to another diner facility.

We stopped in for a quick bite and were looking for something a little nicer than the other restaurants next door. They had incredible views but the atmosphere and food was superb here.

The best meal I’ve had in Vietnam, even better than Michelin starred restaurant trois gourmands in Saigon. The kind of place where every bite is explosive.

Best dishes:
Caramelized pork
“Hu” stewed fish
Duck with coconut juice
Traditional grilled Lang fish

Great:
Seasonal veggies (morning glory and bok choy)
Fried tofu
Fresh spring rolls

Missable:
Lotus rice

Great service. A little more expensive and smaller portions ($7-10 USD per entree), each entree can serve 2-3.

Although you need to climb a few flights of stairs to get here, the view is fantastic and, with lots of tables outside, the warm temperature gives it a really nice ambience.

The food is good but, as other visitors have commented, they need to focus on getting it to you a little hotter if possible.

But, altogether, it was worth coming. If it’s your first time here, try the Set Menu to get a good selection. Book first; it is popular!
