Strategically placed in a street bustling with restaurants and street food vendors and within walking distance of the night market which is held on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights from 7pm. The area around the lake nearby is also closed to traffic over a weekend and throngs with tourists and locals and is very pleasant to relax here on a bench. Staff at the hotel are extremely helpful and friendly and we upgraded to a deluxe room for 12 dollars. On our return to Hanoi after our tour two weeks later we stayed here again in an ordinary room which was still very comfortable, king size bed!
Breakfasts are superb in spite of the breakfast room being fairly small. Buffet style, Asian or Western complete with waffles and pancakes, fruits are also excellent.
So interesting to sit at the window overlooking the street as the vendors arrive on bicycles laden with fruit and vegetables, or beautiful; flowers. Mostly women, it is truly amazing how they manage to balance the heavily loaded cycles.

We stayed at the Hanoi Sky hotel for 2 nights and then another after the Halong cruise. We had 2 rooms for our family of 5. Our rooms were next to each other. This hotel was very quiet and the rooms were surprising bigger than I thought. One of the rooms had a large separate living room which was great (room 701, i think),
This was in a great location to walk to the Ho Chi Minh museum and Hanoi Prison. Was a nice walk down to the lake. Plenty of food places nearby, and an Australian AFL/NRL pub right next door. Very friendly staff. The kids rated the breakfast here as the best in Vietnam. Probably due to the pancake and waffle with chocolate sauce, and the cream puffs. A great place for the price, would stay again.

The Hotel was so strategically located in the middle of all the Tourist Spots. Walking Distance from Hanoi Train Station, Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, The Square outside of of the Mausoleum, Army Mausoleum. Food Street is right outside of the Hotel!!
If you wan to goto the Hottest area around the lake, will be juz 5-10 Minutes walking from Hotel.
As overall, Staffs are super friendly and english speaking fluent. Despite of the small breakfast place, it serve tremendous food. I was staying there for 3 nights, and it always amazed me with the food. For a price is below $30, this is definitely good for travellers on a budget!! Miss the hotel already!!

Room Tip: I would say most of the rooms are ok.

We had several nights here with 2 children (9 and 10 old), Staff were excellent and extremely helpful. They even helped me track down a black forest cake for my hubbies birthday... Thankyou... Rooms were clean and modern. Location is great, just a short walk to old quarter. We had some laundry done here aswell ( ask to pay by the kilo not by individual garment) There are a great few cafes and restaurants in the laneways surrounding. The breakfast was also great.. with plenty of options for fussy children.

Room Tip: From memory level 7 rooms were bigger than the rooms on level 3 ad 5
