Alisa Premier Cruise was a great start to our vacation in Vietnam. I’ll start with the negatives- it is more expensive than the average hotel in Hanoi and the itinerary is very jam packed that you barely get a chance to rest. However, you can’t expect anything less when you get such a once in a lifetime experience, you want to make the most of it. To be honest all the cruise boats have the same itinerary, but Alisa Premier Cruise was by far the best boat in Halong Bay! Our room was a suite with a private balcony and jacuzzi, that was clearly very new & clean, yet had the authenticity of a junk. We were really pleased with the room, the service and staff, we wish we’d had more time to experience everything and had booked the 2-night Cruise instead of 1-night.

The food was phenomenal, the cocktails were fantastic & good value for money (& very strong lol). The light breakfast was actually a big meal lol! Robert our tour guide was knowledgeable & very enthusiastic. Nothing was too much for the staff on board, and we made new friends! In fact we loved the oysters so much on our first night that the staff gave us more (at no extra cost) and stayed up all night to serve us drinks until the early hours with our new friends.

The trip from Hanoi to Halong Bay was very comfortable in a mini-bus, we had a pit stop in a tourist trap souvenir shop after 90mins (but wouldn’t have expected anything else and the toilets were very clean)!! The whole journey took 3.5hrs (including the 30min break). I would recommend you buy snacks and water before you leave Hanoi, as you only get small bottles of water provided which don’t last long and you get charged for any extras you ask for.

All-in-all a worthwhile experience amongst a 5-star Cruise with excellent service and picture-perfect views, a definite must for anyone visiting Halong Bay / Vietnam!! You get what you pay for and whilst all the cruises offer the same thing, with Alisa you can guarantee great service, cleanliness & comfort, and most importantly amazing food!!

An overnight cruise along Halong Bay with Alisa Premier allowed us to enjoy the breathtaking scenery of 1600+ rugged limestone islands. From the limousine bus that fetched us to the overall cruise experience, plus a free airport transfer when you book directly with them - everything was wonderful.

Day 1, a limousine bus came to fetch us from the hotel. It was like no other bus we have seen before. The bus was very luxurious and clean. Seats were comfortable for the 4-hour drive to Halong Bay. After our buffet lunch, we got to visit Hang Sung Sot, also known as the Cave of Suprises, filled with various illuminated rock formations. Then we visited the Floating Pearl Farm and saw how local people cultivate 3 kinds of pearls - Akoya, Tahiti, and South Sea. In the late afternoon, there was a cooking demo where we tried to prepare our own Vietnamese spring rolls. We ended our day having a special dinner with our new found friends. It was a meaningful and memorable night spent with people from different parts of the globe, whom you have just met, but their presence makes you feel very comfortable.

We started our Day 2 with a tai chi lesson on the sundeck, combining deep breathing with slow and gentle movements. Doing this along with the picturesque morning view of the bay's landscape - very relaxing! After breakfast, we climbed up the 400+ steps of Ti Top Island. Although the climb was difficult due to the steep steps, it's all worth it when you get to see the panoramic view of Halong Bay.

We loved everything about our cabin. The room was huge, has a jacuzzi tub and a private balcony. The food was delicious and staff were courteous. Thank you to Robert who toured us around Halong Bay and also to Mr. Quinn for arranging everything for us. We made the right choice of booking with Alisa Premier Cruise. Thank you for a great experience!

This was the perfect way to end our trip around Vietnam and Cambodia, and we couldn’t have picked a better boat. From the pick up in our luxury mini bus, to the exceptional cabin with private deck (I think we were upgraded), the service and the food. We made the right choice. This is one of the more expensive boats, but appears to be more spacious and of higher quality decoratively then some charging event more.
For us we wanted luxury, to treat ourselves and on our 2 day, 1 night trip that’s exactly what we got. Our bags were delivered and waiting for us in our cabin after check in and a high standard buffet lunch. We lazied in the sun on our private deck, enjoying it some much we skipped kayaking, visited Titop Island, almost having a heart attack to get to the top - but that view is worth it and in my opinion the only real reason you would visit the island; so don’t stay at the bottom if you can challenge yourself to reach the top. Back on the boat we were 5 minutes late for the cooking class (same time as cocktail hour) and they were already packing away! Wow! That was some speed cooking!
Evening meal was served to the table, and I must say as soon as we boarded someone came round asking about dietary requirements and when I informed them of my nut allergy they were fantastic, pointing out the things I couldn’t eat( only 1-2 items) and at evening meal providing me with a slightly different variation on the meal. Great service!
Day 2 we visited Surprise cave, which is magnificent on it own to admire, but I did feel the tour guide dumbed it down by trying to get us to see non existent shapes of rabbits, dragons etc in the rocks! It was a bit frustrating by the end and we would have preferred some most historical and scientific detail.
All in all a wonderful memorable experience.
