We paid a visit to this temple and met three very kind English speaking monks. They were extremely patient with us and willing to share their knowledge of Buddhism. We wanted to buy some jade Buddha pendants and they spent about half an hour to go through hundreds of them patiently and carefully to pick the best ones for us. To them we own a lot of thanks.

We came across this Wat when we took a shortcut from our guesthouse. A small Wat with numerous jade Buddha's. They also sell jade objects.

Undergoing major rebuilding works in the main courtyard but did not spoil the visit. There you will find a wonderful old wooden building used to store the sacred texts. The main assembly hall has an unusual collection of jade Buddha as well as displaying large jade rocks from which the carvings presumably originated. You are invited to touch the rocks to "get lucky power". There are also small jade relics for sale such as baby elephants starting around ten dollars.

This is a lovely small Wat in a quiet side street. It has a good collection of buddhas in the main temple, a splendid old library building and a chedi unspoiled by being overhauled or covered in sheet gold. Doors close at dusk, it seems. A most amenable monk let us in and laughed happily when we went in in turn as my partner's shoulders were bare so I had to lend her my shirt!

Went with my Buddhist friend who made her Devotions to Buddha and the resident Monk. A very peaceful place, quiet and restful (despite being near to Tha Phae gate). Visitors are welcome.
The Temple itself has many Buddha images and large colourful paintings covering all the walls. Jade is the theme here, there are large ancient pieces that you can touch for good luck. The Monk was smiling and friendly towards me as I looked on. Interestingly, you can buy pieces of jade jewelry from a beautiful selection at the back of the temple. It may seem strange that they sell stuff in the Temple, but no different to St Peter's in The Vatican!
Well worth a respectful visit.
