I enjoyed the visit, this place is not the best zoo in the world but it was nice to walk around, and some of the animals were a little different looking, also you can rent small carts if you don't want to walk, and its fun to feed some of the critters! Zoos are always great for kids!

The zoo covers a large area, we had the hire car so were able to drive round it and stop and look where we wanted. The zoo has a bus service that picks up and drops off too, or you can hire a golf buggy to drive round.
The zoo is quiet hilly in parts with some steep inclines and declines, wouldn’t fancy it much during wet season.
It certainly from my point was worth the visit just to see the Pandas. We arrived mid afternoon, so they were sitting eating bamboo, which was hysterical at times in its self.
You can certainly feed some of the animals, the giraffes and Ostriches ailing with the goats was a laugh.
I would recommend you decide what you want too see, look at the map and plan it out.

Feeding the animals is cool, but where not present at their locations. Also when you payed the entree, you will need to pay for the golf car per hour twice the entree fee, cause walking is a hell you don't really have a choice. If you want to see the pandas, you need to pay extra. So basically that's

Took a 1/2 day tour in morning, and had them drop us off at Chiang Mai zoo.
Recommend using the hop on hop off shuttle throughout the park about $3 per person
Great to see Pandas, and other SE Asian animals.
Animals seem well cared for.
Very hot day

Good place to see pandas, koalas, penguins and a lot of local animals. Huge territory for all of animals, and good conditions.
Great place to walk a lot. Just be sure you choose the right shoes!
