My name is Geoff, Senior Citizen, Age 74. I booked a suite for 14 nights thinking it would be nice to have a quiet peaceful room that is why I booked a suite. How wrong could I be. I stayed eight nights, 7 nights in suite 601 and 1 night in suite 807 (the room from hell). The noise from the A/C units (both suites) was so loud that it was not possible for me to get a decent nights sleep. I used to go for walks up and down Sukhumvit Road in the early hours of the morning just to try and relax so I could at least get a few hours sleep but to no avail. The hotel management are aware of the problem, I did let them know about the noise, but it just fell on deaf ears.
Night 7 I moved to suite 807 thinking it would be quieter, WRONG, it was worse still and that is when I decided to move and go to another hotel. The noise in the bedroom was so loud from the next room A/C that I made up a bed on the floor in the sitting area from the sofa cushions. Photos attached.
It cost me £303 for the 8 nights I stayed at the hotel, what a waste of money, I might just as well burnt the money and slept in a bus shelter.
I have stayed in many places over the years from cheap motels to 5* hotels and this is the 3rd time I have cut my stay short and checked out early. It is sad really when at the start of a holiday I have had this experience especially in a 3 to 4 star hotel.
Final thought: At Mind Hotel has got the money so why should they care
