Overall, a very good hotel. The location is good to get to some great restaurants and its close to the BTS to get to other attractions. So many great restaurants, massages and convenience stores around. There's nothing that you could need that isn't there.
The room is very clean and modern. The hotels itself is also clean and lovely. The staff was kind.
The wifi is horrible. I wasn't trying to FaceTime or stream videos, I was looking up a place on google maps and reading restaurant reviews on TA. Honestly, very slow.
Not all rooms get breakfast so make sure when you book if you're getting breakfast. Also, when I was there, the pool was taken over by very rude, unsupervised kids. They were spitting, running and throwing bottles of sunscreen (which broke and blew up in the pool). I don't expect the hotel to supervise the pool but maybe they could keep an eye on the security cameras. They did talk to the parents though about the situation.
Also, it is close to the red light district. That being said, I never once felt unsafe or uncomfortable. Also, when reading about the area, I did see the Dawin listed as one of the hotels that allows its guests to bring in their "Thai companions". I never asked the hotel either way. I was a little surprised by this cause it's truly a really nice hotel. I did see one hotel guest escort his new "friend" to the hotel entrance. It didn't bother me any but it may sway your decision one way or another.
