Nostalgic German Retro Cafe Bistro serving a comforting range of authentic sweet pies and cookies.
I ordered a divine macchiato coffee topped with cream and sweet caramel sauce, a hot chocolate that was served with a complimentary moorish lemon shortbread and a truly delicious apple pie, which filled the air with the heavenly smell of cinnamon.
They make everything fresh everyday and recommended is their mushroom or bacon quiche and their cheesecake.
It's a relaxing atmosphere immersed in gentle French music. It's really a great place to relax with somewhere to charge your devices and enjoy the free wifi especially after you've visited Chiang Kai Shek memorial, which is close by.
Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday they host a musical event.

This little Cafe feels like you are walking into your grandmother's living room, with its Art Deco and antique furniture. It even comes complete with pleasant and accommodating waitresses in 60s summer dresses. It may be anachronistic but it all comes together very well, serving some surprisingly good German and Western food. To top it off it has an impressive selection of good German/Belgian beers and even has Jazz in the evening, though I can't vouch for that myself. It lacks air con, and the the coffee isn't quite up to scratch but I'd still heartly recommend this place for a meal.

If you are craving for western food, this is the place to go. Food is decent, ambiance and music(jazz) is very calm and nice. Latte was awesome :)

This little restaurant smells amazing inside and all the bread is freshly baked as you order it. Caprese Salad was heaven.

I came here on a weekend afternoon for late lunch and coffee. I sat outside next to the road, something you can do at very few restaurants in Taipei only, and it was not too loud but just right.
The food is very good, I had a great soup and sandwich. I found it to be quite authentic German food. Would definitely go back.
The only negative thing I could find was the bathroom which is small and old.
