Owner description: In 2007 the Taiwan Cultural-Creative Development Co. Ltd assumed responsibility for the renovation and operation of the Park and renamed it Huashan 1914. An organically creative environment has been growing ever since. Huashan 1914 now serves as Taipei's primary creative arts center and a hosting ground for Taiwan's most significant cultural activities. Examples include the Simple Life music festival and the BiBo student design expo. Today Huashan 1914 is not only the heart of Taiwan's creative pulse, but also a bridge to a unique architectural past.

“Nice day around but not 'Exceptional'”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 20, 2014

On the name of creativity, there were few dance competitions, jump market, small small stalls with lot of garbage and fool smell around.
The only thing which I liked was National Geographic gallery and Alley cat's Pizza for lunch!

“Can't miss this if you like exploring art & culture”

My must-go spot every time I visit Taipei, cuz you can always find something nice to see and enjoy. Apart from exhibitions, there are nice cafes and restaurants inside.

“'Creativity'”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 24, 2014

It is very near to Taipei's computer building and MRT station. So many creative things were displayed there by the local and foreign artists, This area is divided into many small restaurants, cafes, pix\zza shops and huge green parks with open activities, lot of the visitors were youngsters and mostly were couples.

A nice place overall.

“Artists and Designers Epicenter”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 8, 2014

I visited the 1914 Creative Park area once, in December on an VERY unusual sunny day! It is a god place to see and explore. Allow about an hour to four hours, depending on the degree of interest and if you eat there. There are several coffee shops (How can Taipei have SO many?) and a couple of restaurants too, but nothing too fancy or interesting. They are all very nice and good creative designs too. There are several very col shops where you can find items for yourself, or gifts, that are High Design. As a designer, I really appreciated the absence of any trace of tourist marketing! There are some galleries and a funny Museum of Bad Art! This is a very real place. It's a converted industrial complex, with some big trees, and promenades, and very popular with young people. I am told there is often live music there, but not when I visited. Highly recommended, and equal to the Red House (a MUST SEE, especially on the weekends) for young people, designers and artists. Not far away is the Jade Market too. THAT is really great too! Not a tourist market, it is much more authentic than the huge weekend only Jade Market. Search for it!

“Gem Of A Place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 3, 2014

We stumbled upon this park on our last day in Taipei. To get there just take the blue mrt line and alight at Zhongxiao Xinsheng station. It's a very short walk from the mrt station and is easily spotted 'cause it's at a corner street. It was drizzling on and off during the time we were there but there were many visitors. The place offers many sights- quaint buildings with curios and knickknacks inside, 3-D exhibits, cafes, and street performers. We saw a man and his dog playing catch and it was most enjoyable watching this furry creature anticipating his master's kick and catching the ball in his mouth, making squeaking sounds with it as if to seek approval from his audience. So cute! We also caught a trio called Formosa Circus who entertained us with mimic antics and juggling skills. Very, very fun to watch. The grounds are very clean and spacious.
