Description: In the heart of the Medina and Souks of Marrakech lies the Rahba Kedima spice square, where old women gather to pound henna for traditional tattoos and sell hand knitted hats, while seasoned vendors run the surrounding spice stores. Within this setting is the now famed Cafe des Epices, the perfect meeting place and rest stop from the heat and commotion of the souks. The inexpensive menu is focused on the simple and fresh, offering teas and coffee, freshly made juices, sandwiches, salads and crepes. The design is correspondingly simple: deliberately paired down and basic in order to offer a peaceful resting place after the visual overload of the Souks. Built over 3 floors, the top terrace offers great views over the square and surrounding Medina, the non-smoking 2nd floor salon is a great place to lounge and the ground floor and outdoor tables are fantastic places from which to watch the colourful comings and goings of the spice square market. Open daily from 9am to 11pm

We had spent the morning touring the city and had just gotten thru the souks, when we found this restaurant for lunch. A casual, friendly and laid back restaurant with fast service, great quality food and an escape from the market hustle below.

Great spot for a restaurant, which is in three flours, and sitting on the roof top having very delicious tajine and juicy lemonade, what else you need in the middle of the shopping day and in the middle of the souk hustle&bustle. The food is great, the stuff very kind and service was quick no matter that place was packed. Very recomended.

Had a great lunch here. Good clean food and a very relaxing place to hang out. One of the better restaurants we visited in Marrakesh.

Modern cafe serving casual twists on Moroccan food and some more international flavors. Quite large and lots of seating, and situated in the spices square in Marrakech for good people watching.

Good prices, friendly staff, and worth a visit.

Dropped in for lunch went to the roof terrace over looking the spice square ordered 2 tagines which were not great the bottom was burnt and although the food was ok it was not as good as Nomad which I believe is the sister restaurant. Worth a visit if you cant get into Nomad.
