Had a wonderful two-night stay at Ryad Dar Ganou with my friend. The very friendly and personable owner, Veronique, met us along the main street where we were dropped off and walked us to the riad as it can be difficult to find for the first time if you don't know the route. The riad is clean, small, peaceful, and serene - beautiful inner courtyard and roof terrace (where a very good breakfast - fresh orange juice, strong coffee, crepes, pastries, and fruit or yogurt - is served).

Veronique, her husband, and their adorable little dog Shuya also reside in the riad. Veronique was always very accessible, responsive, and helpful to us during our stay. Our first morning out, Veronique walked with us to the main road to make sure we knew the route for returning.

The riad has an excellent location, just a few minutes away from the main square (Jemma El Fna) but so peaceful and quiet inside.

There was a slight inconvenience when the water boiler broke and so the shower was not hot while the workers were fixing it, but that was out of Veronique's control and I'm sure it's fixed by now!

Shuya was the highlight though :) Such a cute, friendly little dog! Will roll over for belly rubs and is so excited to meet guests.

We really enjoyed our stay at Ryad Dar Ganou. The hotel was clean and comfortable and the staff were very kind and friendly. The hotel is very close to Jemaa el-Fnaa but is nice and quiet. We were presented with a great breakfast every morning, consisting of various breads, fresh juice and of course Moroccan mint tea!
Veronique accompanied us to the Jemaa el-Fnaa on our first day so we were shown our way around locally and could find our way back to the hotel. She also provided a map and book illustrating the various places we could visit during our stay. We visited during February which was a little cold for Marrakech, however the hotel was very accommodating and provided extra blankets. I visited with my sisters and father and we were all impressed and felt very welcomed. All in all, we were delighted with the hotel and would recommend staying here.

I had a cute little room with a balcony overlooking the courtyard. The riad is tucked way back in the alleys of the medina, but the directions they sent were spot on and let me right to the front door. After check-in, the owner showed me the quick back way to get to the main square. The owner was very nice and even accompanied me to find my friends the next day and negotiate with the taxi drivers. They also have a cute little dog that will come up and give you some loving.

The only thing I didn't like about the riad was the extremely small doors, which are difficult to navigate as a big guy with a big backpack. They did have a doorman who will help with the bags though.

We stayed at the Ryad Dar Ganou for a long weekend in November for my boyfriends 30th. Veronique was the perfect host, showed us how to get to the square and arranged trips for us with very little notice.
The Ryad is in a great location with a lovely roof terrace and a stones throw from Maison MK which we would strongly recommend for dinner.
