Not sure about the palais that other people are reviewing, but this is also name of a touristy pharmacia where they sold spices, teas, and traditional medicines. Mustopha was the guy who helped us -- very good English, very knowledgeable, low pressure, and honest. I got several things, including aromatic pieces of sandalwood here that were a big hit back home. Wish I'd gotten more.

The entry is almost nothing 10 dirham plus 10 more if you want to see the Minbar, which is a very small room with a wooden ladder and some photos. I think we were unlucky cause the side pools are under construction and due to an event they are building a temporary auditorium in front of the entrance. One more thing don't ask locals and don't look like your looking for something . A complete stranger came to us and said he will help and pointed the entire different direction. Download Marrakech map in offline mode within tripadvisor.

My wife and I had a fantastic shopping experience with the help of Rachid. He was fluent in English and was very knowledgeable. I strongly recommend this location.

They take you in a room and seduce you with teas and creams. They verbally quote this prices as "one euro" and up to "25 euro". We were quoted "56 euros" for our bag, and they charged us 560 euros. They added an extra zero. We didn't realize it until we received our credit card statement and we were out of the country. It is robbery, plain and simple.

Hard to believe this was once a luxurious palace with walls and ceilings adorned with gold leaf! It's now little more than a shell, having been destroyed and ransacked less than 100 years after completion. No guided tour here, which meant we strolled round in the warm sunshine, oblivious to some of the significant parts of the site, although I did eventually notice some small information boards dotted around. If you have limited time here, make sure you climb up to the area above the main entrance gate, where there are fantastic views over the city. From here too, you can see numerous storks on messy nests perched high on the palace walls. The day we visited was warm and hazy, + there was no sign of the Atlas Mountains that you should be able to see from Marrakech. Or was there? I took a long shot, zoomed right in…..and there they were in all their snow-capped glory!
