I will echo others in that no this hotel is not "central" but agree that that's very apparent in research. It's a very secure estate of hotel and private residences you will have to take a taxi to explore. Get over it.
Typical of a four seasons the touches ate there so you know it's a Four Seasons but they are as always sympathetic to location and the hotel had gorgeous more can touches everywhere though modern as only 5 years old.
It's an epic property with the hotel areas in the middle and private residences around the outside.
It was quiet when I went and I travelled alone. I didn't find a comfortable or lively area to eat or drink in the evening but that may be more with timing of the visit.
Pool areas are excellent split into family and adults areas and far enough apart to really be separated. Attentive pool staff and a mix of regular beds and cabanas makes for a relaxing day by the pool.
Staff and friendly and kind. Food was excellent bar one tagine which I think was personal taste.
If you are with children they have an excellent kids programme for all ages so you can get space.
For the grown ups great gym and tennis. Also a fabulous spa with hammam.
Recommended but you may feel a little Isolated if you were planning on walking into town. More
