Forsyth Bar and Grill has changed their name to City Grill and has updated the decor. Great place to meet friends for a meal.

We had checked into the Windsor hotel and had decided to partake in the :Furst Friday" events. Before heading to the "MAZE: we decided to have an appetizer and a beverage before heading acrpss the street.

We waited and waited to get someonones attention. Yes, it was Friday night but still no one even acknowledged our existence. Once we got our menu the waitress hovered over expected us to give her our order immediately. Well, since we were tourist we needed a moment to cjeck out the offerings.

Well, the spinach and artichoke dip sounded perfect.

We waited and waited and waited. And inquire. We finally got our appetizer after waiting and prodding for over a half hour. Such a long wait for such a depressing meal. The salsa was canned. But a good one. The spinach artichoke dip was luke warn and not a single artichoke in it..........tasted like paste.

Well it's now called City Grill but really the same place and menu. Ordered the French onion soup. It came in a bowl with loaf bread with a slice of cheese sort of sideways in the bowl. Soup was ok but presentation was poor so sent it back. Salad was basic but edible. Dinner was the flatiron steak. It was cooked as ordered but seasoning was basic. Baked potato was fine. It's Americus. Been coming here for years for work. While not great for this town it's about what to expect

My Sunday School Class has a monthly meeting at City Grill (new name for Forsyth Bar & Grill). The service is always good and the food is great. Always hot and just as we order--and most of us order something different.

We had the Wednesday wings special, the Lemon Pepper seasoned and they were great. It comes with fries and served hot, promptly and cooked correctly. Ann with her crew do a good job keeping things moving. Located downtown and easy to find. Lots of other menu choices also... Try them. :)
