I rented a budget room in this small hotel. The room was clean and seemed to have been recently painted. The staff was friendly and mostly helpful. On the downside, the door to the room did not lock (the bolt was not lined up correctly) and although I pointed this out, nothing was done to try to make it lock or even close completely. I was told something to the effect of, "It's okay, it is safe here." I placed my dive bag between the door and the bed in an attempt to discourage any unwanted entry. I really do not need much beyond a clean room and a comfortable bed when travelling and although the room was clean, the bed was horrible--very worn. I have slept on carpeted floors that were more comfortable. There was a fan, but no AC, but that was not a problem. The temp was comfortable. There is a good local restaurant next door and many others nearby. There is easy access to the beach, diving and snorkeling companies, other adventures, native and other crafts. The island is small and everything is easy to get to if not by foot, then by bike or golf carts. I think the other rooms were larger and perhaps had better beds (!). #8 was very small and I would recommend only for solo adventurers on a tight budget--will be better if they change the bed to one less worn!
