This is one of our favorite places to drift snorkel. We did a night snorkel and saw lots of different kinds of lobsters, octopus, squid etc. interesting to see how the parrot fish sleep and during the day sharks, rays, eels, etc. this location is never crowded
On another note we did get to snorkel with the manatees twice Please don’t pester them. Such awesome creatures

This is a beautiful place to snorkel and calmer than Hol Chan. Highly recommend especially for less strong swimmers.
A must do for snorkeling while in Belize. The coral health is outstanding. Beautiful fish everywhere. We saw many rays, a few nurse sharks, and a green sea turtle swam with us most of our 90-min adventure. We used Tough Enough tours, as convenient with our resort. Candy-man was our guide and was fantastic.
This was our first time to Mexico Rocks and it was awesome! We went through Pro Dive Belize (who we used before) and got the most fantastic guide, Giovanni (Gio). He was so knowledgeable and made the trip for us. He explained all the different fish and coral along with finding a very large lobster (hidden) and barracuda! We snorkeled for almost 2 hours and we are in our mid 60's but were never rushed and felt very relaxed. I highly recommend this dive site - not to be missed on your trip to San Pedro. Oh, he also picked us up right at our hotel dock. This was a great way to spend the afternoon. Already planning our next trip back!
I went out to Mexico Rocks with a guide (can’t remember his name) from TuffeNuff. He had a pontoon boat. There were only 3 on the tour and we left from my resort at X’tan Ha. We were so fortunate to see nurse sharks, a turtle, southern ray, spotted eagle ray, moray eel plus so many fish and coral. We went to 2 different spots and each one was quite different. I have snorkeled a lot during my 7 week stay in Belize and this was one of the best.
