The staff friendly and courteous. The location is in close proximity to federal locations and exhibits.Enjoyable place to stay. Rates were reasonable. If I was to return to the D.C. area this hotel would be the place to stay

What a great Hotel this is. Perfect location to the capital and all the sites to see in Washington. The hotel restaurant The Dubliner is fantastic. Brenda at the front desk is super nice. Changed my room for me to a better location. And she remembered my name every time great job. Raquel did a great job cleaning my room. It was always really nice when I came back.

I stayed at the Phoenix Park in November 2018 and am just now getting around to writing a review. It was only a one-night stay but I could not have been more pleased with the hotel and my room.

The room was newly renovated and well kept, the bed delightfully comfortable, and the bathroom spotless, but best of all the window opened. I prefer fresh air and a cooler room for sleeping and I was so pleased when I was able to raise the window just a tad to let in crisp fall air.

The Phoenix Park staff could not have been more welcoming and helpful. When I discovered I had forgotten my toothpaste and called to ask if there was a concession in the hotel where I might buy toothpaste, I was told that a bellman would deliver a tube to me - gratis! It was a lovely and much appreciated gesture. In the morning when I checked my bag for the day, the porter was warm and kind.

The Phoenix Park is now my first choice in hotels when in DC. It is conveniently located near Amtrak at Union Station and within walking distance of Capitol Hill. I have already recommended it to colleagues.

Stayed 3 nights in January 2019 and the hotel was wonderful -- friendly staff, clean rooms, and big, comfortable beds. I reserved a small room with 2 queen beds and beyond the beds (which were very big, and very, very cozy) there wasn't much additional space in the room, so it was a little tight for 2 people; next time I'd book a larger room, but if I were traveling alone I'd book the same room (or a room that size with a single bed). Highly recommended and I'll be happy to stay at the Phoenix Park again

I've stayed here before when the rooms (and pens) were green, all Irish-like. They've remodeled with a blue theme. The room was just right but I found it a bit sterile. Lots of mirrors.
The best part of staying here is its co-location with The Dubliner. I will review separately but it's a fun place to hear traditional Irish music but now their menu has lots more vegan items.
