On vacation, craving Mediterranean, Zaytinya was the winner. The restaurant is big both indoor and outdoor seating. Service excellent, food excellent. My friend and I had Sunday night 7:00 reservations. We were greeted and seated. The restaurant was bustling with diners. Chouaib was our server, he was excellent, friendly and attentive.

After sitting, we were given the most amazing pita breads I've ever had with a dipping oil. We ordered cocktails while looking over the menu. When my friend and I travel and try new restaurants, we like to share so we get to taste as much as we can eat. Perfect place for this, we ordered Hommus (purée of chickpeas, garlic, tahini), Falafel (traditional crispy chickpea fritters, turmeric pickles, cherry tomato, tahini), Lamb Baharet (spiced rubbed lamb leg kebab, tabbouleh, charred tomatoes, tahini sauce) and Kofte Kebab
(grilled ground beef kebab spiced with marash pepper mint and oregano, smoked yogurt sauce, charred cucumber, herbs). All the dishes cam out fresh hot and tasting DELISH!

Atmosphere: open, large indoor and outdoor seating. Service: excellent. Food: excellent.

super crowded saturday evening but we were able to snag a seat at the bar…hot, puffy, pillowy bread meets you as you’re seated- phenomenal!…we shared three plates, plus hummus…the shrimp dish was most memorable…service was great!…we loved our experience and highly recommend to others…we will eat here again on our next visit to dc!

Definitely deserves the Star rating but won’t break your entire dining budget in a single sitting.

Middle eastern served via small plate options. We started with hummus and the roasted brussel sprouts. The hummus was fresh with a crisp cut of lemon juice flavor. The brussel sprouts had a slight sweet kick but neither were dominant.

The flat bread was amazing. Straight from the oven to your table.

The fattoush was a fresh vegetable lovers dream.

Then we moved on to the Lebanese chicken and rice, Beef Soutzoukakia, Kofte Kebab, and the Adana Kebobs for our mains.

We ate outside on the patio. Such a flavorful dinner in a lively atmosphere. The crowd was as diverse as the food and nearly everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves and the food.

We were in DC for a long weekend and this was definitely the best meal we had.

The Service was great. We had constant replacement of the Pita Bread which was interestingly slim - almost specially made for people like us who eat very healthy. The grilled? Brussels Sprouts and beef balls in sauce were almost out of this world. This is one restaurant I will certainly like to revisit. A bit crowdy inside, but you have the option of outside dining
