During my most recent visit to our Nation’s Capitol we stayed at the Washington Mariott Capitol Hill. The hotel was located in a great location not only close to the Capitol but in close proximity to great restaurants, bars and shopping that enhanced our groups trip! I will definitely stay there again.
Great staff, great onsite restaurant, great service making for an overall great experience during our stay!

I throughly enjoyed my experience here. We came into town for the Redskins nfl game. We will be staying here next time. We stayed 2 nights. We have a club level room with club access.
The bed is very comfortable, I slept so good!
We never heard a train with our interior room.
The breakfast at the lounge was good and had a nice variety. I also liked the snacks they had during the day.
We mostly took the metro everywhere. There is a station that is only a 5 min walk.
We never felt unsafe.
I also wanted to shoutout the main bartender at night (I think his name was wayne). We enjoyed happy hour and late night drinks at the bar. He made our bar experience amazing! They also had a DJ.
We went up to Yara for a drink and to see the city view at night.
The gym is amazing. The building is half hotel and half apartments, so the hotel and apartments share the gym.
Some other reviews mentioned rude staff. We only experienced that with one person. Also the room cleaning people spoke zero english and came around 3-4pm. I had wished our rooms were cleaned when we came back from exploring the city.
Besides that will be coming back and hope to see wayne again!

The new Washington Marriott Capitol Hill is absolutely beautiful, great part of town, and superior staff! Definitely worth an extra few minutes in an Uber to stay off of the beaten path and in a great neighborhood!

The property is excellent including service staff, decor and the amenities especially the gym. However, the location is tricky. It’s next to a train station with all kinds of trains running night and day. So if you are a light sleeper like me, this is not your place to be. Even though the hotel provided a sound system to provide ambient music, ear plugs and lavender oil to aid your sleep, the noise levels are a big issue.

Beautiful, new, modern hotel. Exceptional service. The location is right near a metro stop that will take you into the heart of DC (or a good walk - about a mile). The only criticism would be that the hotel isn't in the prettiest area. Our room overlooked a train yard and trains could be loud in the morning. If you go, ask for a room facing away from the trains.
