Wonderful exhibits. Plan enough time to explore the whole place. There’s so much to see.
Restrooms clean with toilet seat covers. Need to go through security to get inside. There’s a cafe inside and refreshments outside.

A sure win while in D.C.! It is perfect for families with young kids and all. Learn about past and present animals. Be amazed by the size of the prehistoric species!

Better for younger kids. It had been 8 years and our teens were less impressed. And the people! The crushing crowds of people! That made it virtually impossible to enjoy. The taxidermy collection was good. Dinosaur exhibit was weak. Information but few artifacts. Precious stones too crowded to move. The Norwall whale exhibit had some information but mostly bc we hung near a tour group. Just too crazy.

Enjoyed the American culture displays. The trains and information was educational. It's free and plenty of food trucks outside.
