Must see if you like Military History

One of the best Military Museums I have seen. Outstanding displays with Main Battle tanks through to APCs, trucks and artillery pieces.Excellent displays across all involvement of the Australian Army with focus on Soldiers from Western Australia. You are taken through the museum by a guide who stays with you the whole time. My 6 year enjoyed seeing the displays he enjoyed the trench display the most.

Informative and Engaging

Visiting from Toronto, my cousin and I were greeted at the entrance and provided with a personal guides tour. David was enthusiastic and guided us though all the exhibits, with clear explanations and amazing stories about the various campaigns, as well as stories about some of the individuals. This is the gold standard on how guides tours should be given!

Great place to see our War History

A variety of exhibits and armored vehicles on display to see. Learn about your Australian ancestors and their part in the war. We were lucky to meet Sir Tony Robinson on an open day.

Interesting but not the best place for the kids

It is not a massive exhibition. The underground trench exhibit from WWI was interesting.

Other displays were ok too. The kids found it a little boring and I struggled to keep their interests up.

The disappointing thing for me and particularly the kids, was that most of the military vehicles were roped off and you couldn't get alongside them to see them in any detail.

Some one of a kind displays!

The kids really enjoyed this museum. There were so unique displays and one of a kind items. Well worth a visit.
