Fantastic location right at the entrance to the Fremantle markets and metres from a huge selection of restaurants.
Even though we were right in the middle of thriving Sunday market crowds, the room we had upstairs was super quiet with double glazing.
The rooms were tastefully restored old prison warden rooms. Funky features and luxe fittings. The free still and sparkling water was a bonus and the included coffee and pastry breakfast was delicious in the funky bar downstairs.

Fantastic hotel in the heart of Freo. Beautifully restored with great period charm and all the modern conveniences. Best shower of any hotel - ever! Enjoyed the sparkling mineral water and chilled water on tap in the room. I loved the complimentary wine on arrival and the free mini bar. Breakfast is only small. Coffee and a coussant.

Location is next to Fremantle markets about 10minute walk from the train station and 15 min from ferry to Rottnest island. The hotel is the former Warders accommodation for fremantle prison which is close by. It has many eating options close by. We loved eating at the hotels restaurant Emily taylor. The rooms are spacious and tastefully renovated. There is a free minibar and a tap that dispenses chilled or sparkling water which I have never experienced before! No pool or gym and reception opens at 9am. Only really had staff help us check in. We were in the Warders 2 block where you supposedly could call reception if you had a query but this did not seem to be an option apart from using your own phone to ring in externally.

This unique hotel captures the history of Western Australia while simultaneously immersing you in local culture, restaurants and shopping. The rooms honour the original history of the warder's lodging while providing cutting edge modern finishings. One of my favourites was the mini-bar with both still water and sparkling water on tap.

Highly recommend this hotel. Everything about its room, services and location were top notch. Adjoining our favourite restaurant Emily Taylor's was a great start to our night followed by a concert only 200mtrs away at The Freo Social. Room extras included free Mini bar, sparking water tap & lovely body products. Vouchers for free drinks at the Gin Bar & then lovely alfresco breakfast the next day. Will most definitely return. Awesome weekend right in the heart of Fremantle & attractions.
