Description: The Monk Brewery & Kitchen delivers Award-Winning, hand-crafted boutique craft beer and farmhouse cider brewed on site in our small batch brewery. You can even meet the brewers as they show you the inner-workings of the brew house! We also love to serve local and global wines and Monk Cocktails. Our chef's love using fresh and local, seasonal ingredients to create drink buddies that are perfect for our craft beer and cider or beautiful Mains (Monk Feasts). Our Monk Loft (on our first floor) overlooks the cappuccino strip (South Terrace) and is ideal for your fashion show, launch, wedding or private event. We are passionate about what we do and welcome you to The Monk!

Lovely dinner at the Monk lst night with my family. We ordered the pizza bread with garlic and oil. It was delicious! For mains we had the monk burger with chips. It was a nice burger but didnt stand out in my mind. The pork belly, which again nice but i was unsure of the accompaniments. We order the sirlion steak and a side of chips. It was super tasty and def the winner of the night. We had the fish and chips which was also really crispy and good piece of fish. The chips were gorg along with some aoili dip. The service was alright althought they forgot our drinks at one point. I was surprised as it was very quiet last night. Great music and would return for the garlic bread alone!

Have been here once before and was served well, this time however was not a great success.
Enjoyed the cider platter and the atmosphere.
Disliked the service and our lost order of food which only got resolved after sitting for 30 min and then going to ask what was going on.
No offer of recourse.
When asked by the cashier how was it, I mentioned the long service time, was greeted by an "oh" , "that'll be $xx please "

We stopped by for some afternoon drinks and to people-watch. There weren't a huge crowd at the restaurant but it took forever for us to be seated (at a table that was still wet from the previous guests), and at least 10 minutes before someone noticed that our orders weren't taken. When it was time to leave, no one seem to notice us, so we had to go up to the cashier ourselves. Then, they tried to charge us for extra drinks, when we clearly had only 2 glasses on our table.

We had some cocktails. The drinks were forgettable, but the bad service definitely left an impression. Suggest to try some other place down the street - there are plenty other better places!

Great place to visit after a long day on the beach or shopping. Freemantle Au outside of Perth proper is a great seaside suburb of the city. Enjoyed the brews and the local watering hole.
