Perfect location. In old town, walking distance to everywhere. 15 minutes walk from the bus and train stations. The sign on the entrance is quite small so pay attention while walking...

The room is big and spacious. Bed and pillow are just fine.
The hotel offers Breakfast every morning. Complete but not very well presented... If it were better presented maybe it would help the hotel to seem superior.

The building is standard. Not well decorated nor very well maintained.
There was a sticky stain outside my room door and it was there from the day I arrived until the day I left (3 days).

Regarding the room :
The door needs to be strongly slammed in order for it to close...
The TV is from the 90’ and not more than 17“. I would personally take it off rather that leaving it there... the sofa is also quite old...
The walls and windows seem to be very thin. You can hear whatever is happening outside, next door and above! Even though the hotel provides ear plugs, this was truly annoying.
There was a weird smell coming out of the water in the bathroom. Like sewer smell. Imagine the first time I tried to brush my teeth... By the way, they suggest you not to drink the tap water but they charge you for the mineral water bottles... They should at least provide 1 complimentary water bottle per stay.
I wanted to open the window once to refresh the room but it was impossible to reach...

Regarding cleaning, let’s say I did not feel comfortable... there was a small carpet next to my bed which I had to remove because of its old and dirty looks. The floor (mostly the bathroom ‘s) was kind of suspicious too...

We had a quick (11 pm to 7 am) stopover in Riga on our way to Estonia, and found this hotel to meet the ‘drop and sleep’ needs. This is a no-frills, no atmosphere hotel, but the location is great and it was very clean. Eigor, the front desk manager, was extremely friendly and helpful. Apparently, given the excellent location it can be very loud during the weekends and summer - but we didn’t have that issue at all. I can recommend this hotel if you are looking for a very very simple, clean place to stay.

Smallish room with dressing table, shelves but only open hanging space. Large shower room with very large shower (shower curtain not cubicle). Bed moderately comfortable........but creaky! Hotel is very well located in the old town, surrounded by restaurants, bars, shops and coffee shops. Riga is small enough that you can walk everywhere, particularly true if you are staying in this hotel. Staff very helpful, especially Inga. Buffet breakfast includes some hot choices and available until 11.00 if you are a late riser. In summary, this is a good, cheap hotel in a great location. Don't expect 5 star and you won't be disappointed.

This small hotel is in the centre of Old Riga and was cheap, clean and perfectly adequate for our needs. The rooms have en-suite shower and toilet, towels are changed daily and, if you don't have a 'superior' room, you can leave valuables in the safe in reception. Breakfast is a buffet, again basic but perfectly adequate. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Everywhere in Riga is within walking distance but, I am glad that we chose to stay in the Old part as the buildings are wonderful, there is a higher percentage of Latvians as opposed to Russians living here and there are many fantastic sites to visit. Beware - the streets in the old town are cobbled!!

Room Tip: Top floor was relatively quiet.
