We stayed for a long weekend to visit Prague and the Christmas markets. Although the hotel says Wenceslas Square it is a good ten minute walk from the main city areas so be aware. There is a tram stop very close however and they are great for getting about! The hotel is lovely - comfy bed, warm and a great base for visiting the city. Breakfast was the only slight disappointment, there was no organisation, no staff present and too small for the number of guests. It is continental with a limited amount of hot food but we found plenty to eat. Tea and coffee is available at reception at a small cost, one recommendation for the hotel is to stock English breakfast tea at reception, a favourite for many after a cold day sightseeing!
I would certainly recommend the ibis to anyone visiting Prague, reasonably priced, great location and everything you need for a city break!

A typical budget range hotel which was good value; yes the bedrooms are small, but when you're in town as a tourist all you really need is somewhere to rest as other than for sleeping you are not spending much time there. The room was comfortable with adequate storeage space; the only improvements I would make would be to include hand towels as well as bath towels in the bathroom and perhap provide tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Breakfast was more than adequate to set us up for the day exploring the city with a wide choice of breakfast comestibles. Yes the hotel is not located in the centre of town, and some may find the inclusion of Wenceslas Square in its name misleading, however basic research before booking showed where it was located so for us the short walk to Wenceslas Square was not an issue. It is also in close proximity, (approximately 5 minutes walk), to excellent public transport links, (tram and metro). All in all we were very pleased with out stay and would certainly consider using this hotel again if we return to Prague.

Dear Guest,

First of all, I would like to thank you for your time to give us your review about your recent stay at ibis Praha Wenceslas Square.
I am happy to read, that you have been satisfied with our hotel and with the services, we provide. Even thought you would improve some of the services and facilities. As you mentioned you would suggest to include hand towels as well as bath towels. You can be sure, that I will pass this comment with our housekeeping manager. I would like to say, that unfortunately the fact, that we do not provide tea and coffee making facilites is i based on ibis standards. I hope, you enjoyed our food corner, where you can get cofee and tea as well as many other drinks.
I am pleased, that you will choose our hotel again, if you ever return to Prague again.

Thank you again for your review.

Sincerely,

The hotel seems to be OK for budget category, but the encounter with personnel spoils the impression. I thought probably my experience was an exception, though management admitted they worked on service improvement. And in near future be prepared that room key does not open the door, that check-in would take up to 20 minutes, and your approach for advice about dinner and attractions nearby would be unanswered. The room was OK, small though properly cleaned every day. Water pressure in the bath was weak and water always poured into the flour despite all our trick to prevent that. Location is good. There is good bakery Paul nearby for breakfast and lunch. The tram station to the center is meters away from entrance, and to reach the old town is 15 minutes tram drive. So could be a good hotel after they train their staff properly.

Good clean room, the bathroom smelled terrible the moment we stepped into it. The beds were nice and there was lots of space for us to put our stuff. Loved the breakfast in the morning, didnt like it was a bit further from the city center. Walk to the bus and then the bus will drop you off. Would stay again.

Room: As with usual Ibis properties, the room is compact but warm and comfortable. there was no view from the room as such. The amenities included TV, working desk with chair, open storage area to hang clothes / keep baggage. Surprisingly safe to keep personal belongings was missing.

Bathroom: Neat, clean and tidy with a separate shower area. However, the body wash was never filled in. Ideally this is something to expect from the housekeeping staff during the cleaning of the room. But seems its not part of the checklist.

Restaurant / Dining Area: Spacious to accommodate 50+ guests. The breakfast buffet was a wide spread of breads, fruits, jams, cold meat, cakes and juice.

Staff : The staff at the front office are courteous but can certainly help with more smiles.

Overall, the stay is very comfortable and warm with Wenceslas square within walking distance. The famous tram no 22 which passes thru all tourist stops is just 2 min walk away and so is the central metro I .P. Pavlova.
