A friend and I were in Prague traveling from the US looking for a restaurant near the St. Charles Sheraton for dinner. Happened on this restaurant which advertises Czech food. I had the Spicy meat mix in potato pancake served with homemade cabbage salad - English from the menu.

Not bad at all just something that I have ever eaten before. A little like a soft Mexican tortilla. Service was good and the beer was standard Czech goodness. Not expensive at all and worth trying again.

Looks like a dark beer pub, but how it will surprise you with the food and great personal contact/service. Bevare, only beers, no cola :).

Rustic atmosphere, local feel, lovely place. I had a good and filling brewer's goulash and a pint of beer for around 215 Kc, quick service (the place was not full though). I recommend!

This location is recommended as a typical, rustic Czech restaurant with original type food and beer at a low price level. Actually this location has a quaint and typical ambiance and serves Czech cuisine and beverage at reasonable prices. We ate dinner there and were served by a friendly yet overchallenged waiter. Our orders (Goulash with dumplings, beef in cream sauce with dumplings) were complied after no less than one hour of waiting although the restaurant was just sparsely filled. Finally the waiter brought two main dishes, of which one was wrong. When we refused to take it the waiter tried stubbornly to advertise the dish as "just another typical Czech" one. In case we wouldn't take it we were to wait another 15 minutes for the replacement. When we insisted he went away and brought the correct dish within a minute. The food was disappointing: the plate was covered with dumplings accompanied by a bit of tasteless sauce. The meat portion was a joke, in fact barely visible. To top it all the bill wasn't correct either as the rejected plate could be found on the account too..Altogether a place NOT to be recommended, even if the cost-benefit-relation is fair (which is but a poor consolation).

Small, traditional Czech restaurant. We really enjoyed the food. Good pork knuckle and ghoulish. Very reasonably priced.
