Great location near underwater river. Beautiful resort on the beach!

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed Mar 24, 2024via mobile
A fantastic resort! We weren’t sure because there were not many reviews but this is a top notch resort on a spectacular beach just minutes from the Underground River. We got in late at night from Puerto Princesa airport, had a few beers at the beautiful beach bar and then were up early the next morning to watch a spectacular sunrise.

Then a delicious breakfast buffet beachside with a great mix of Filipino and international foods. We then were met at 8 am by a guide to take us on a personal tour of the underground river. Because most people stay in Puerto Princesa which is over an hour away, we beat the crowds and were done with the river by 9:30 am. We then hit the zip line and were back at the hotel by 10:30 am — enough time to sit at the spectacular pool, take a dip on the ocean, and have a drink/snack before our pick-up at noon.

Our only regret was that we didn’t get to spend more time there. I’m Lifetime Platinum Elite and even though there wasn’t a suite available, the room was pool side and clean with good amenities. They also greeted me with a plate of chocolates.

The hotel also has an ATM onsite, which is convenient,.

Extra bonus, bought some beautiful natural pearls on the beach from vendors at a great price.

This new Marriott property in Palawan is a gem in Marriott’s portfolio in the Philippines. This property is set in a stunning location set in front of Sabang beach and behind the beautiful Karst hills of Puerto Princesa. While Sabang beach is definitely not the best beach in Palawan or in the Philippines by a long mile, the is a great starting point if you want to get to the UNESCO heritage underground river site nearby (the port for the boats that bring you there is literally next door). They have the most sincere and most helpful staff, while there are definitely rough edges as per any new hotel, with highly competent and friendly staff like Loraine, Jacqueline, Loraine and Hassan - this is definitely going to be one of the best if it not the best Marriott location in the Philippines- this has already bested my experience with full fledged Marriott and Sheraton properties I’ve stayed with in Pasay and Cebu. Keep it up guys!

Room tip: Arrange for transport to the hotel as it’s a 1.5 hour drive there from PPS airport. One. There though it’s worth even just staying there.

We had a great stay at this property. It's been recently reburbished and felt brand new. Staff were super friendly and helpful. It's beautifully situated on a lovely beach very close to the Underground River making day trips there very easy. Property has an enormous pool, it's nice but a shame it's all the same depth (4ft), would have been nice if there was a deep end! Breakfast was pretty good with lots of food options. Because the property is still being completed there was only one dining option available and this became a little bit restrictive at night but there are other dining options available outside the property. A beach club is currently being constructed which will be great when it's finished. All in all, we were very happy with our stay and would certainly like to return in the future.

We visited Palawan last December, we chose the Four Points and what a wonderful choice!
The hotel is ideally located with direct access to a heavenly crystal blue beach.
Breakfast and food was very good, the hotel was recently renovated so all facilities are new, the kids club is amazing and offer a large choice of activities and toys for kids from all age.
We enjoyed great activities nearby like zip line, visiting the world biggest underground river and bat cave and many more organised by the hotel!
By the way they can organise your transfer from the airport to the Four Points with very good cars or minibus.
The place was exceptional, the hotel was quality but the best part of the hotel remains its teams. Thanks to them for making our stay one of the most beautiful memories of our family.
Thanks to Aaron and all the receptionist team for their welcome and attentions and a thousand thanks to Thea and Nurhan for their kindness and patience with my children at the kids club.

We have a great stay, excellent hotel staff, from the front desk, housekeeping, security and of course the best are the one on the food and beverage section.

They have a great breakfast spread which we totally enjoyed.

Rooms are cozy and relaxing. Pool area is very inviting, it’s totally a R and R place.

This hotel is barely 2 months old and still under construction in some areas (though it was difficult to notice). It is very isolated, but there is a tiny Philippine province style town area only a 5 minute walk down the beach. The staff was fantastic. The rooms wonderful. Huge pool area. Nice beach and they provide lounge chairs and umbrellas at no charge. It was nearly a perfect experience. I only had 2 issues there. One was the Internet connection was extremely slow about 30% of the time. Very frustrating for me because of my business obligations. But it is understandable and no doubt due to the isolation scenario. The other issue was the restaurant. Consistent and horrible slow beverage service, as well as a few order/food issues illustrated that the staff was still learning and developing. If there were any American style restaurant options in the area I probably wouldn't have noticed, but this is the only choice for American fare. Anyway, everything else was perfect and I can almost guarantee everyone will love it here!
