If it's not for a nice view on west and east side, it would be just an old fashion dining room. Food is not bad, price matching the food. Price of drink is bit on a high side for a club. I don't really understand the social membership that doesn't give you discount on drinks. It should be just an open venue.

Having read some great reviews about this venue we decided to give it a try. The front desk told us to book so we did. When we walked up the stairs it was unclear which way to go. We found what looked like a dining area but there was no one to ask about our booked table. We ended up asking the keno cashier who told us to go to the counter in the dining area or just look for our name on a table. Since the only staff at the counter was taking orders which meant we had to line up, we hunted for our table and found it. Then another hunt for menus which we found at the ordering queue. The backboard specials were only two items one of which was sold out. When we placed our order we were told the steak was sold out so opted for the smaller steak on the blackboard special.
The food took a little while to arrive. As we waited we noticed the food arrive in dribs and drabs over a 15min period at the large tables before us which must have resulted in cold food for those who politely waited for their companions to be served before they started eating. Our food finally arrived but the medium rare steak arrived with a rare tag on it but it was cooked to the far side of medium and was very chewy. The mushroom sauce looked like it came out of a tin and had hardly any mushroom.
And staff were virtually non existent.
We didn't have dessert which was just as well because there was no dessert menu and meagre unappealing offerings of the cake and slice variety in an unlit cabinet at the order counter.
It looked and felt like an average suburban sports club and the food and service matched the average decor and ambience. Disappointing after reading all the wonderful reviews. There are much better clubs in the area that I'd rather visit.

When we became members 4 weeks ago, the lady behind the counter seemed distracted, which proved correct when we visited this week. We were told that I had 2 memberships, I was provided with a new card, with an incorrect name on it, so another card was given to me, third try lucky!
The meals were adequate, rather than great, there was nothing bad, nothing great about the venue or the food, the service was very good.

While holidaying at the Bongaree Caravan park, we just had to visit the neighbouring Bribie Island Bowls Club.

Certainly glad we did as this venue is fantastic

We were greeted in a friendly & professional manner in the entry foyer, signed in and proceeded up-stairs to the bistro.

The front deck and bistro window tables offer a beautiful view over the calm waters of Pumicestone Passage.

The bistro menu offers a wide variety of meal choices, and there were blackboard specials as well.

Our meals arrived in the time it took to enjoy my first schooner, and they were beautifully presented. Certainly not ‘pub food’ but more like a modern classy casual restaurant.

Our wait and bar staff were fantastic, which added to the enjoyment of our meals.

Highly recommended to anyone visiting Bribie Island is search of a great place to relax and enjoy very good food in a clean, modern, casual environment.

Plenty of on-street parking, a courtesy bus and an off-street car park for members. There’s also a very large sports bar, large pokies room, a couple of decks with water views and a bottle shop at street level.
