I could stay here for HOURS if I had control of my time. I love the view, the ambient sounds are very calming to me, and the greens really help give peace to my mind. I love going out here to paint still life (mostly the flowers) and the sight of occasional creatures are a bonus.

Lovely park bit on the quiet side on weekdays so if you want to have the park to yourself best to go during the week.

We usually go there during Cherry Blossom season, if I'm not mistaken that's every August during the first 2 weeks. Avoid the weekends as it can be very crowded and busy. $5 entrance fee which is fair and affordable. There will be free buses/transport from Auburn Station during this season. You can have a quiet picnic under the trees. Good for picture takings. There's also a mini zoo with kangaroos and different kinds of birds.

We used to visit this park a lot as children 20+ years ago and now I am coming back with my own children. It still looks identical! The reflection pool is awesome to recreate nostalgic photos. The koi feeding is great as are the playgrounds which are scattered throughout the park. It has reasonable access to amenities a few extra toilets would be perfect! It is very stroller and wheelchair friendly. The peacocks and other wildlife is a nice thing to see. Also check out the rainforest and also scented garden and enjoy the nice peaceful walk

The Botanical gardens in Auburn are a restful two hour stroll through wonderful plants and green space. The gardens have different sections but the one that impresses the most is the Japanese garden with its beautiful lake in its centre. This is the ideal spot for children as the ducks come right up on the bank.
There's also a reflection pool which is in an area by-passed by most people but it is really pleasant.
There's a third area where you can take a picnic and sit and relax under the trees or on the seats next to the water.
The gardens are very calm, restful and relaxing. They are also a good place for wedding photos (get permission first).
