What a fantastic tour. The ride out was fun. Pulling up the enormous crab pots was really interesting and the crab haul made a very delicious lunch. Many thanks to Adam, Emily and the team you gave us a a great experience.

Can’t recommend this tour highly enough.

We booked Destination 71 Nord AS's "King Crab Safari" through Viking. While it was the most expensive tour of our entire 14 day cruise it certainly was one of the most authentic. Our guides (I cannot remember the young men's names) were terrific! Once outfitted in our warm floating suit we headed out on a RIB, telling us a little about the history of the area, our first stop being one of D71's crab traps. The guys pulled the trap up and there were a LOT of crabs in it! One of them pulled 4 of the crabs out and put them on the deck of the boat. There were 11 of us and one person commented "only 4 crabs for all of us? That's not going to be enough (see below).
We headed to D71's dock and one of the guys told us about the crab, how they have changed fishing in Norway and the industry that has developed because of them. He then told us how the crab was...dispatched. I had read on TA that it was pretty gruesome. It wasn't! The whole thing is over in 1/2 a second and is very humane.
We then watched the traditional way of cooking the crab and then we dug in. There was PLENTY of crab for everyone and even leftovers.
After eating we zoomed back to port, hearing more about life in Honningsvag, and on arrival took off our suits and thanked the guys for a really great experience. It was so much fun and HIGHLY recommended!

We took the extended ATV safari today and had an amazing bucket-list experience. Luckily we were the only people on the tour so we got a private tour by our guide who was excellent. The tour took us around the coastline and up into the mountains where we were lucky enough to see some wild reindeer. Following this was a lovely toasty pit stop in a traditional tent with bonfire and a warm drink.

Our guide was knowledgable and checked in on us regularly throughout the trip. It really was a once in a lifetime experience and worth every penny.

Thank you so much guys!

We booked this tour hoping to experience the friendly Norwegian hospitality and adventurous outdoor sprit. The people were young, pleasant and SO enthusiastic and eager to help. Picking up the crab pot full of crab was fun too. The crab was then cooked on the log stove and prepared by two friendly girls, it tasted wonderful. Finally, the journey back and forth on the rib was excellent and you felt safe at all times. Thank you team 71.

We did an atv tour, and our guide, who happened to be Finnish, rather than Norwegian, dig a great job. Beautiful scenery and very enjoyable ride. Had a bit of problem with the governor on the ATV, but nothing serious.
