Enjoyed a quiet mid-week lunch at this long established restaurant. Ever reliable fresh quality food with an extensive wine-list . Predominately seafood which compliments the beautiful view over the river, easy to park at the door.
If at all the service is a little slow but friendly !
Higher recommend the Oysters and Barramundi beautifully fresh, excellent cheese selection for afters.

Thank andrew m

We were a group of 13 for a very special birthday lunch. Everyone agreed that the food was excellent - flavoursome and well presented. The star attraction was our waiter from India, though he has been here a long time. He really added to the whole experience with his quick wit and funny lines. He had us laughing whenever he appeared. It was a very happy event in this picturesque, historic setting with delightful food but he really made the event very special for the birthday girl - and for all of us.

We had a wonderful family birthday dinner at Banjo Paterson Cottage last night. The lovely witty waiters looked after us beyond expectations and they took extra care with my 84 year old mother making her feel special. Our group of eight people thought the food was delicious and plentiful. Definitely recommend this gorgeous restaurant, with water views, for any special occasion.

We celebrated our wedding day at Banjo Patterson Cottage. We were expecting really good quality service and food, but you surprised us and exceeded our expectations...!! We all had brilliant time, with many of my friends and family vowing to return. Great location, fantastic views, the wait staff were all lovely, and the food was delicious, and a special mention for Shack, who added a wonderful positive energy to the whole wedding... what more could one want ? Thank you so much Robert for helping us organise everything on our wonderful day..

Kindest regards Tani and Christine

Some friends invited us to lunch here, and we were looking forward to it all week.

The setting was stunning, the welcome at the door was outstanding, the rooms & décor are first class, and the view (if you are lucky enough to not be locked away in one of the rooms without a view) is just superb. The wait staff are just outstanding, some of the best I have encountered.

The problem here was that the food was very ordinary and very bland.
We all had to use copious amounts of salt & pepper, especially on the soup of the day, which was a seafood chowder over a money bag, which I might add was the smallest money bag I have ever seen.
The seafood chowder was the consistency & the look of leak soup at best.
Quite tasteless.

My main was one of the dearest items on the menu at $49 which was the BBQ Seafood.
Not a big dish by any standard, but again VERY bland.
No BBQ or char taste what so ever, which is why one would order BBQ seafood in the first place. I was very disappointed in the taste of all food supplied.
Presentation was first class however, but this is all null & void if the food is let down by taste.

If you want to be sure to get a good seat with one of the stunning views, be sure to book at least a month or two in advance.

Great place to visit for a drink, and the view, but would I recommend the food?
Definitely not.

I have rated the value as terrible, as one has to enjoy the food in the first place before you can decide if the value was good.

I don't mind paying top dollar for top food.
But tasteless food should not cost this sort of money.
