Very disappointing.

We stayed overnight Christmas Day. The two stars are for most of the staff and our dinner in the Waterwall Restaurant.

The room was very hot and the aircon didn’t work properly overnight. The shower pressure was terrible and the water did not get hot enough. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, with several broken springs. There were three mattress protectors on it to try to disguise this fact.

The room is not soundproofed properly and we could hear the people in the room above laughing and walking around until after 2am. It sounded like they were thumping on the walls or floor.

The breakfast was very average and overpriced for what it was ($32 each). The water for tea and coffee (instant only) was cold, powdered scrambled eggs, reconstituted juice and the “hash browns” were actually frozen supermarket potato gems.

The bacon was almost raw it was so undercooked, (but it was labeled “crispy bacon”). We mentioned this to one of the staff refilling the food, who was incredibly rude and asked if we were chefs like he is. I politely and calmly pointed out the sign says crispy but it was almost raw and he accused us of treating him like a slave. We were shocked at his rudeness and asked him why he was being so aggressive. He apologised, but begrudgingly and kept glaring at us anytime he walked past our table. All of the other staff were all very lovely and professional though.

Overall, I would not recommend a stay here, but the restaurant is a good option for a lunch or dinner meal.

On Entering the hotel it looked nice , But when we got up to our one bedroom pagoda apartment things were different it was dark and very old fashioned , glasses were dusty some smear marks on furniture , the shower was good but the attention to detail was not great ,,, it was a good size we had a balcony which was extremely small it was tight even for 2 people ,,I got locked out of my balcony for around 15 mins ,,, we were facing on to the carpark , I had to wait for someone to arrive into the carpark to call down to someone to contact reception to come and unlock the door ,, there was a sign on door which I had not read that you had to turn the lock a certain way to unlock it from the inside , luckily I was in the shade as at the time it was in the afternoon and very hot and I had a coffee with me but no phone ,,, Be careful , Everything is worked with your key card ,,, the carpark entrance in and out which was great for security ,, you need your key card to get into the hotel from the back door of the car park , you need your key card to go from floor to floor in the lifts ,,, always keep your key card with you or you can be locked in or out of it all

Room tip: Always keep your key card with you at all times as it gives you access to everything at hotel , your screwed without it ,,

If you can avoid staying here, you'll save yourself some grief. The staff in the eatery were good, the menu is fair. The reason i'm so negative is what i call "The Lost in Translation" attitude from when we checked out. To have to scrutinize the bill for charges that were included when first booked & paid is a rip off! Having to wait an extra 45minutes for a room service meal that was ordered for a set time grated. Wonder if speaking Mandarin may have made the experience better.

While the customer service to rectify the issue was great, we did not stay the night and ended up elsewhere. This place needs an upgrade and a good deep clean.

Upon check in, our 2 bedroom apartment was dated and dirty. The couches worn, the stove top and knobs dirty, the walls with obvious signs of grime. The smell was musty and damp.
I was shown 3 other of the two bedroom units and all were of the same standard, and a few actually worse with grime.

We checked out within 1.5 hours of arrival, and appreciated the courtesy and refund offered by reception.

Place is dated needs a refurbishment, room is so dated, but ok for 1 night stayed there for the Ron Fischer show on the 27th which was great, food was much better than last time we were there as well, on the down side they take $200 from our credit card, seems normal these days then added $15 for parking, so now we are out $215, the $200 we are still waiting to get back! they can take in 2 seconds but seems weeks to get back, hope they are going to pay us some interest for this loan?

Room tip: City hotel would be a better option
