Broadwater Resort Como is situated in quiet neighbourhood. My first impression is that this place was as promised on their website. Clean and well kept. The 1st floor unit I was in 52 (2 bedrooms + a loft = 6 beds) was clean and everything looked pretty new. There are 3 aircon/heater unit in (1) the main master bedroom (2) dining/ kitchen area (3) loft.
2 Shower bathroom - one ensuite + one shared (both downstairs)
Due to unforeseen circumstances, 3 members of family couldn't make it, but I think but I believe with a full house of 5-6 it would be quite comfortable a space. The loft is spacious with 2 single beds.
The kitchen was suitably equipped with electric stove, oven, microwave oven, kettle and fridge /freezer. Utensils and crockery all pretty new. We cooked breakfast daily and managed to use the oven to cook some chicken as well. ONLY complaint is that the ventilation was not so good, even with the hood on - so there was lingering smell of cooking. I just used the air freshener (requested from the housekeeping staff)
There are not many staff but they were all professional and helpful. Housekeeping came every 4 days (extra frequency with extra charges). Whatever questions I had, was resolved within half hour.
The only slight complaint I have is that my (back)room was next to the tennis court so I can hear people playing and chatting. It was winter so maybe less people playing at the courts - not sure how much more traffic in other seasons. In the mornings I could also hear the sounds of carts of trolleys rolling around ( by the staff).
I was very thankful parking is within an enclosed area where you have to tap in with a security card. There is both covered and open parking. If each family had ONE car, I believe there'll be enough parking lots. There are also parking spaces outside and just across from the hotel.
Broadwater doesn't really have an attached F&B outlet. There was a Pizza restaurant attached but I didn't notice it operating during my 2 weeks' stay there. However it's not an issue as there are many cafes and restaurants (very famous dim sum) nearby. There are supermarket and pharmacy within walking distance (about 10 mins walk) nearby.
If I had to get a place for a larger group, I would definitely check out the rates for Broadwater Resort Como again.
There is a patio area with table and seating outside each unit.
