Stayed there for 3 days on a fishing trip for my hubby. We liked that we weren’t bothered by housekeeping. We took our own provisions. While we didn’t expect the room to be five star, it had air con, it was clean, cheap and there was a fridge, kettle, toaster and microwave. There was tea/coffee and milk, even though we took our own. There was soap and clean towels and toilet paper that could be replenished should we need to.
Basic but ticked all the boxes we needed it to tick.
Only down side was no beside tables or lamps for ambient light, only two big Fluor strip lights on the ceiling which was way too bright.
Quietly happy with the room, for the price!
We love Busselton!!

Excellent location and friendly staff. My room was modern and clean and I was given a free room upgrade. It’s driving distance to everything and far cheaper than the resorts in this area. It’s not glamorous but for what you pay it’s excellent value for money.

We ended up booking this place as the majority in the area were already booked out.
We wish now we had just stayed home.

Where do I start?
- There was something growing in the corner of the shower. Fungus, mould, Ebola? Who knows. The floor tiles were disgustingly dirty too.
- There is a sign on top of the microwave, that you will be charged $15 if you don't do the dishes. Who charges that???
- The majority of the place was FILTHY, including the shower floor, the toilet, the window frames, the list goes on and on...
- There was chunks missing out of the walls and tiles. A simple fix with some filler wouldn't hurt, even if it wasn't repainted.
- We asked for some fresh towels and ended up with washed towels that were covered in yellow and pink stains. They smelled funky too.
- The toilet had water running constantly. From the looks of it internally somewhere as the water in it wasn't swirling around, nor was it leaking anywhere. This made it REALLY hard to sleep.
- The hot water for both the sink and shower was a NIGHTMARE to get right. Half the time it wouldn't work at all, and when it did we had to constantly play with it to keep it an even temperature. The yuk thing about the sink was it was used for both the bathroom (washing dirty toilet hands) and washing the dishes. That's disgusting. The water pressure in the sink was also dismal.
- We had absolutely NOWHERE to sit, other than the beds. For a family of 4 a couple of basic armchairs would have been a nice gesture, or maybe a small table with 4 small chairs. Instead we sat on the floor (or bed) to eat, and just to sit in general.
- The walls in this place are PAPER THIN. I could hear everything going on next door on both sides of us.
- Of the very few things provided for our stay, the dishwashing liquid was watered down!!! So, they expect you to do all of the dishes or get charged for it, with watered down washing up liquid.
- There was a little bit of paper next to the TV with Wi-Fi information on it including the password. The Wi-Fi did not exist or come up on any list of Wi-Fi services in the local area on multiple devices. Why have it in the room if it doesn't exist???
- It was VERY HARD to actually get hold of the staff. When we arrived there was nobody to be found and the reception was locked up. Even after calling the phone number for the landline and mobile nobody answered. Eventually we found a human to help us...

For $150 a night we expected a lot more.

I would not stay here again not recommend it to others. The soap holder in the shower was caked in soap scum. The exterior of the toilet bowl was very dirty. Dishes needed a good clean and on this note if you leave your dishes unclean there is a note you will be charged $15! I guess purple just wipe out their dishes so they don't get charged?? This I have never come across in all the numerous accommodation I have stayed in. Our accommodation was to be paid for on arrival but was taken from credit card beforehand which was very inconvenient as there were two couples in two different rooms and both rooms were charged to my sister's credit card.
However the bed was comfortable.

This is by the Busselton Highway. Park in front of the reception, check-in and then you can drive round the back to your chalet/cabin and park right in front. Despite being by the highway, it was quiet. The room was big - mine had a king bed and a single bed. TV, microwave oven, kettle available. No stove, so be prepared to only prepare food that can be cooked in a microwave (so no sunny side up eggs; poached perhaps ie crack egg into a little water in a bowl and cover it). I had to Google ways to use a microwave to cook bacon (drape the bacon strips over the sides of a bowl, which sits on a plate, so the fat drips down and will not mess up the microwave if you cover with a kitchen paper towel. Be sure to wash the dishes and cutlery in the bathroom sink (there is no kitchen sink) and dry them, and put them away where they were originally. Bathroom was a fair size. Place was clean. wardrobe and furnishings were a bit dated, though. A table which you can use for dining, with 2 chairs. Roland was helpful and cheerful.
