Stopped in here for breakfast on our first morning in Albany. Great location and every table was full so we were looking forward to a nice meal (especially considering the other reviews we’d read)
We waited a few minutes for a table and were seated in a booth. Our order was taken quickly and didn’t take long to arrive.
Smashed avo was fine but the eggs on toast was absolutely vile - Eggs were dry, rubbery and tasteless, the toast was (bizarrely) only toasted on one side, the “grilled” chorizo was raw and overpowering and the mushrooms were, well, mushrooms.
I wouldn’t mind if it was something complex but scrambled egg and toast shouldn’t be difficult - Hard to believe anyone could get it so badly wrong.
On the plus side, the old building is quite cool and the staff were friendly
