We had booked this restaurant based on the website and our desire to enjoy the best of Albany cuisine with views of the sea - what a gross disappointment this turned out to be! The service was non-existent from the moment we arrived - despite a booking being told the kitchen was closing in 10 minutes and yet we waited 25 mins to be served our wine. The ambience was immediately disappointing - tables packed in like sardines and Michael Jackson blaring of a Sunday afternoon. That was a prelude for what was to follow - the food was by far the worst we have had in a week of traveling through Western Australia! This restaurant really lets the state down - not one redeeming quality! Harsh but true.

The amazing view pulls you in and the fact that there is nowhere else to eat. The service was shocking! We waited for an hr for food nobody approached to ask if we wanted more drinks. Staff not very professional. This would not be tolerated in Perth.

Flat drinks. Long waits. Poor quality of food. Over priced. Great views from location but would not come back again.

Breakfast visit. Friendly welcome and order taken quickly. Largely empty restaurant when we arrived.
Over 30 mins for 2 coffees to arrive- there were periods where the dude on coffee duty was cleaning glasses and refilling sugar cups etc - so it was hard to work out what the delay was. On prompting, the order slip was immed picked up- it was clear it wasn’t forgotten - just ‘delayed’.
Food was great quality, maybe portion size a little small, but only a slight criticism.
The decor and interior design is welcoming and the associated views are very good.
Although the staff were friendly, it did cross my mind whether they were deliberately working slow or ‘to rule’ because there simply were not that many diners in there to account for the sloth like approach.
Will go back only if visiting the ANZAC centre again, but only for a light convenient pit stop.
Sort the service - and it’s probably worth a 4 to 4.5 score.

We had travelled over an hour and a half and planned to have coffee at 1030 before visiting the museum. But it was closed until 1130 and a notice said drinks were only served with food. We went in for lunch after viewing the museum. Service was reasonably friendly but slow. Large menu. Waygu burger was good (note it is served rare). Venison burger unusual but tasty. Chips were nice. The seafood crepe was ridiculously small for $26. Battered fish and wedges had good reception. It’s a shame that the museum didn’t require a more visitor friendly model when leasing the venue.
Lovely views from the restaurant.
