Best indian in a long time. Food tasted really fresh and the individual ingredients really stood out. Beautiful! Nice deck area, friendly staff, just a wonderful meal out.

We were in Russell for three nights and were missing Indian food so we couldn't resist a visit to Greens. On the night we visited the restaurant was quiet, but staff were friendly and seemed pleased to see us. The poppadoms were not like those at home and very similar to Sherwoods, but we were given a good collection of pickles/chutneys. The curries didn't have a great depth of flavour, but they were perfectly adequate and good value. We ate at other Indian restaurants whilst travelling around NZ and Greens were pretty much on par with most of them so you can't really go wrong eating here.

Had the tasting plate and everything tasted exactly the same, a bright red colour and very unappetising. Tasted awful. The lamb naan wasn’t too bad but overall not a good experience and I think we were overcharged. Beware tourists! I am sure the locals don’t go there.

We had a great meal here. We like it really hot and asked accordingly, I’m pleased to say that they obliged.

Really tasty meal, best curry I've had in ages.
I had chicken meta, my brother had chicken biriyani, a friend had butter chicken and the other friend had lamb madras. All our meals were delicious, and good service too!
